"It’s Not Just Another Bad Hair Day"--- when death, dying, loss, and grief surface!
Death, Dying and Loss have been three words that many of us have avoided talking about or having conversations around due to fear, or other peoples reactions when we have tried to bring it up. Guess what people it’s time to change that. We are all going to die, talking about it doesn’t make it happen, but what it can do is the ease the angst we have created just whispering ‘Im going to die’. Not to mention Grief that catches up with us at anytime. No warning just shows up!
The point here is death, dying, loss and grief can be super overwhelming if we don’t have the tools to make it easier for us and our loved ones. ‘Why would we want to keep having another bad hair day, when we can have a plan.

The Beginning of 'It's Not Just Another Bad Hair Day'--A Metaphor for Griefs Journey
We want to share with you our 'why' on becoming a doula, and how the title 'It's Not Just Another Bad Hair Day' was chosen to start creating our podcast for people experiencing death, loss and grief. Having a sense of humour does not take away what you are going through it is a healthy and normal coping mechanism. It can provide temporary relief and help you in dealing with your emotions. Of course we want to respect all situations and checking in with others is helpful to know where people are at, and how to proceed. It may be sharing funny moments you had with your deceased friend or loved one, and can start a beautiful memoir of collected stories.
